The Gray Wolf (Canis Lupus) is the largest species of the Canidae family.

There are 39 Gray Wolf subspecies.

The Canis Lupus Occidentalis subspecies is also known as Canadian Gray Wolf. A number of wolves were captured in northern Canada and were released in Yellowstone National Park and central Idaho starting in 1995 as“experimental, non-essential” population. Since then their numbers have exploded exponentially and are now in Oregon.
